I am surprised with the reviews. We were staying at a KOA on the red line and used this for the couple of days we were here. The buses were prompt - the staff super cheerful and the buses clean. We had no issues that were mentioned in the previous posts and we used the green, blue and red lines.
Highly recommend you use this as your way of travel around Niagara and leave your vehicle parked!
Our rig was parked at the KOA on Lundy's Lane on 7/1/2023. We decided that rather than drive our crew cab to the falls we'd use WEGO as we've had a good experience doing this elsewhere. Bought two passes from the KOA and got picked up close by. The driver told us that regular service would only until 7:00 PM because of Canada Day. No problem.
Decided to return to the KOA about 2:30 and started to wait at the main area which is where we got dropped off. No buses for our return ever arrived. After about an hour I started to ask questions. No one from WEGO that was there could give us a time or status information. I finally went and asked a newly arrived green line driver what she could tell me. She informed me that there was only going to be one more bus for us but she had no idea how that wait would be.
With another couple we decided to walk to the nearest bus stop even though I was still limping from hip replacement surgery. Someone said we'd need to use the vertical lift so we bought tickets for that. We walked and walked and walked until we got to a Lundy's Lane - way over a mile (2KM?). After a reasonable wait got on and went back to the KOA.
AWFUL EXPERIENCE. I think WEGO owes us a full refund for both the bus passes and the lift, and at a minimum a written apology via the mail signed by the head of WEGO. As far I know Dominion Day is always on 7/1 - maybe going forward they can better plan for Canada Day.
It's a tourist trap pretty much. Do not waste your money on their pass, you are better off using any other kind of transportation. You can use the Niagara falls public transit(which won't take Wego passes) or Uber.
Worst and first ever transit in Canada, who does not allowed stroller with sleeping baby in the transit. They want us to disassemble stroller and carry the baby in hands. Reason they want to accommodate more passengers. #MakeTransitSafeNiagara
