Western River Expeditions

My family and I did the 4 day Grand Canyon/Bar 10 Ranch trip. From the minute we departed the Boulder City airport it was an amazing adventure! The scenic flight to and the hospitality at Bar 10 was fantastic.

The helicopter ride to the bottom of Grand Canyon—two thumbs up! Rafting down the canyon was beautiful and seemed surreal at times. From up front, where it got wild and wet at times, to in the back, where you didn’t even have to hold on through the rapids, there was a place for all on the rafts.

Drifting off to sleep and waking under the vast skies was amazing. The guides did an amazing job! They made our trip what I considered “glamping.” If you like the outdoors and adventure, this trip is a must do!

We had a fantastic time as a family rafting and camping in the Grand Canyon thanks to western river expeditions. The food they prepared was incredible, the logistics, pace and safety was top notch. Tents and cots were fine but importantly very easy to build and break down.

The views were breath taking. The rapids were fun but we could have used more of the big ones! We loved the bits of history and science our guides shared.

Wiley, Nate, Justin and Mireade took incredible care of us, every detail was thought of and planned for, especially allergy needs. Even the pee cups for ladies (trust me, you want them). Thank you again for this bucket list experience!

Recently completed the 6-day Grand Canyon raft trip. Amazing trip from start to finish. Western River Expeditions and their guides are excellent.

Trip was very well orchestrated from the time of booking through very end of the trip. Website and videos tell you exactly what to expect and how to prepare and it is spot on. Customer service staff were always friendly and willing to answer any questions you call in with.

Daniel and Joe (JT) were our raft guides and Mark and Lindsey were the guides on the second raft on our trip. All were excellent, hard working, and always looking out for everyone’s safety. Daniel and Joe were awesome.

Super fun and knowledgeable and knew the river well. Meals, snacks, water, and lemonade were plentiful and great. We stayed well fed and well hydrated.

Do not experience the Grand Canyon and Colorado River with any other outfitter! Western River Expeditions won’t disappoint! Highly recommend!

We did the 6 day Western River Grand Canyon trip with our daughter and her family. This trip was beyond phenomenal. The guides on our raft, Wiley and Marade excelled at informing us at every turn about the river and canyon and its history.

Our grandkids were fascinated as were we. The food served is abundant and surprising in its quality for a camping setting. A miracle we didn’t gain weight.

Make no mistake this trip is work, but so very worth it. You are up at first light and breaking camp greeted by an excellent meal and very good cowboy coffee. Onto the raft by 8:00 for a wonderful day of viewing God’s wonders.

The water is cold, invigorating and the rapids are a thrill a minute. We so enjoyed the beautiful hikes and playing in the waterfalls. So much to describe.

We couldn’t be happier with our experience and can’t say enough about the experience provided by Western River Expeditions.
